Popular uLite Kits and Accessories
Named a Hot One by Professional Photographer magazine in 2011, the uLite is a compact 500-watt constant light while still offering a low price tag. Unlike the competition, the uLite is constructed on a nylon-based polycarbonate with built-in tilter bracket, the uLite is extremely durable. This is the ideal light source when working in small or cramped spaces and is compatible with both incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs.
All uLites are approved by both the CE the CSA for safety. These light sources are tested on heat emittance, durability, and construction, ensuring their ability to be used around infants, children, pets, and products.
Unlike strobe lights and flashes, constant light sources give photographers the ability to see the effects of their light placement before they shoot. This allows for the easiest, most precise photo and video shoot preparation. With the option to shoot still and motion, in either tungsten or fluorescent, uLites are the perfect light source for versatile enthusiasts and amateurs.
Tungsten is the most affordable lighting available and adds warmth to you photo and video creations, with a color temperature of about 3200 Kelvin. These bulbs last for approximately 60 hours of use. It is important to remember that tungsten lamps get warm, so always allow these bulbs to cool before handling. Daylight-flourescent bulbs stay cool to the touch with a color temperature similar to window-lighting, at about 5500 Kelvin. These bulbs are a little more costly, with a life of about 10,000 hours.
