With over 140-degrees of light spread, Halos are an ideal modifier for photographing single portraits or groups. The Halo's unique design offers the broad, wraparound lighting effect of an umbrella, while maintaining the light efficiency that you expect from a softbox.
With flexible framework and instant umbrella-style setup, these modifiers are designed for busy photographers. Each Apollo and Halo softbox packs up quickly and can be thrown into any gear bag for effortless travel and storage.
The original Halo is designed to modify compact light sources, like speedlites. Lights are mounted internally and are accessed through the Halo's opening, which can be sealed to eliminate any potential light spill.
The Halo Mono features all of the same design functions as the original Halo, with the added ability to mount light heads externally. This is a must for photographers shooting with strobes and larger monolights.
The umbrella-style diffusion front is constructed with high-quality unbleached fabric that softens and spreads your light source without altering its color temperature.
The Halo is designed with a durable and lightweight fiberglass frame and an ultra-reflective silver interior for maximized light output.
Unlike most softboxes, these modifiers are constructed with an umbrella-style frame. Not only does this allow for the instant assembly, but it also allows for quick strobe mounting without bulky speedrings or adapters.
A great product - delivered with excellent service time. The decision-making process was aided by helpful, knowledgable Westcott staff. VERY easy set up - just wish there was a suitable instructional on packing it neatly down again (there probably is - just haven't had time to check it out on the site)
