Whether you're looking for a broad on-the-go modifier or versatile but cost-effective studio solution, Westcott Parabolic Umbrellas are an essential tool for speedlite, strobe, continuous light, and natural light photographers.
Looking to maximize the output of your studio light or flash? Bounce your light source into a reflective silver parabolic umbrella for bright, edgy highlights or into a reflective white parabolic umbrella for a softer, more natural look.
Looking to soften and expand the output of your studio light or flash? Shoot your light source through a parabolic diffusion umbrella for glamorous, wraparound lighting.
Shooting on-location under bright sunlight? Westcott Parabolic Umbrellas can modify any light source, including the sun. Mount a diffusion parabolic overhead to soften midday sunshine. Or mount a reflective parabolic overhead to block sunlight completely.
Constructed with flexible fiberglass ribs and a doubled steel shaft, these umbrellas will withstand the test of time when used in the studio and out on location.
With instant setup, easy teardown, framework designed to withstand impact, and a compact travel case, our parabolic umbrellas are a must-have light modifier for on-location photography.

“The Westcott Silver 7' Parabolic is one of my staples. The silver lining gives me a gorgeous high-key light that I'm able to focus and fine tune. From beauty to fashion, I'm covered.”
Pair a silver parabolic umbrella with the parabolic diffusion cover to create a large, yet controlled, light source. This essential accessory attaches instantly to your umbrella and offers similar modification to that of a large octabank without the tedious setup or price tag.
Shooting with strobes or monolights? Most studio lights include a built-in umbrella receptacle for instant mounting.
Shooting with speedlites? There are a variety of mounting brackets available with adjustable and tiltable options for precise positioning.
I have tried to use similar sized umbrellas to do Team Photos, or action sports shots, But this Westcott 7' umbrella gives me the ability to throw the light just where I need it. I now own two and have used these umbrellas for Wedding Group portraits because of the way it equally distributes the light across a large area for sharp portraits. There is not a better umbrella to use while producing dramatic sports actions shots. I only buy Westcott modifiers after comparing them to the "Bargain Brands" and this by far is the best money I have ever spent on my photography business.
I have the silver back and it makes my lights work easier and stronger. Also the system is so easy to install takes 1/4 the time of a softbox and is strong. I have been using this for a few years at weddings and have seen no wear and tear on the product.
Great product and the best customer service.
Love this with the silver and the cover makes nice soft light and increase the power of the 360 w/s Flashpoint 360 TTL flash in manual or TTL. I use this for indoors mostly headshots and wedding portraits. Also use this in my three light setup with green screen.
“I rely on Westcott's collapsible white satin umbrella with removeable black cover, whether photographing large group shots or intimate portraits. They give me the versatility to shoot through or reflect the light.”

“I love light that is both soft and lively at the same time and I love the unique look this modifier creates when photographing food.”

“The large reflective parabolic umbrella is the only light modifier you will really ever need. You can use it as a reflector to bounce light in the shade. On a sunny day you can use it to put your subject in the shade. If you are using a flash you can shoot through it or bounce off of it. This is the one light modifier that does everything. I never leave the studio without one.”
