The Rapid Box is constructed with solid aluminum umbrella-inspired framework. This design maximizes durability, minimizes weight, eliminates the need for separate support rods, and makes setup a breeze. Everything is simple, quick, and compact. After your shoot, the Rapid Box breaks down instantly into a sleek carry case for travel and storage.
By partnering high-end materials with a quick-collapse frame, our Rapid Box modifier series will give you the professional results you want without the tedious setup.
The 36" Rapid Box XL and the 48" Rapid Box XXL were designed for use with a variety of strobes and continuous light heads. Select the Rapid Box size that best fits your space, style, and subject. Then, select the proper speedring fitment for your light source.
The Rapid Box XL and XXL are essential modifiers for on-location and studio photographers. With a built-in speedring available for a variety of lights, these instant modifiers attach directly to your light source without any additional adapters.
Our diffusion panel fabrics are constructed with an all-natural, unbleached nylon fabric. Unlike processed diffusion fabrics, these diffusers will soften your light source without altering its color temperature. Each Rapid Box includes a removable 1-stop diffusion front and 1-stop inner diffusion panel. Skylux version includes a 1/4-stop diffusion panel.
Great company to deal with. Product arrived promptly and well packaged. Easy set up and great soft light. Can't believe I fiddled with soft boxes before. Will buy again.
I love this modifier easy to set up on location shooting and the best is fast shipping, for sure I'm going to order soon.
I could not wait to get this modifier, and it has not disappointed. The light from the XXL is awesome and you can put this up and take it down fast. I have used the 26" Octa before and knew what kind of product I would be getting. Westcott does not disappoint. Their customer service is outstanding, love to order from them and I will again in the future!!
I Love my rapid box XL. the quality is great it goes it goes up and comes down quickly for shoots on the move. and it is very small when stored. I just wish it came with the beauty dish modifier. That is the only thing negative I can say about it.
...you can get light modifiers anywhere...it's the customer service and the quality support that makes me a loyal Westcott lifer...they 100% stand behind their products and warranty...
I love this modifier. Compact for storage and very quick and easy to set up. I previously have used modifiers from a different manufacturer and in my opinion, the quality of the Westcott box far exceeds them and is well worth the price. When I received my product, I had a small issue that I needed to resolve and to my delight and amazement, there was an "real" individual from Westcott who answered their phone and fluently spoke my language. Without getting into specifics, I can say that the beyond excellent service provided by this individual was uncommon for these times, completely resolved my issue, and made me decide that the next time I am looking to purchase another modifier, Westcott will be the first and likely last place I look for it. I have not had much time to actually use this box as I have just recently received it but I have no reason to believe that its performance will be anything other than excellent.
“I use the Rapid Box XL in combination with the Skylux for most of my work, the combination gives a great light output and quality.”

“This is the most versatile modifier I have ever used and I couldn't live without it! It can be really soft with both layers of diffusion or I can overpower the sun with the deflector plate.”

“As a beauty shooter, I use a beauty dish often, but traveling with one is cumbersome. I LOVE the Rapid Box XL. It gives the look of a beauty dish, but its breaks down like an umbrella and travels easily.”
