Designed as the perfect modifier for the Spiderlite TD6, these softboxes feature a 1/4-stop front diffusion panel compared to a standard full-stop diffusion panel. When combined with the diffused design of our fluorescent lamps, these modifiers provide just enough diffusion and reflection to create soft, bright lighting.
Featuring a 30% reduction in depth compared to our standard Pro Softboxes, shallow softboxes provide a greater punch of light and are also perfect for smaller studio spaces.
Backed by a 5-year warranty, these shallow modifiers are equipped with 4 flexible steel rods, double-layered loop tape in the corners, protective rod padding, and maximum-efficiency reflective fabric.
The reflective fabrics that line these modifiers not only produce an optimum light output, they also serve as a double-layer of heat resistance. Rear heat vents are also present on these modifiers, providing extra heat ventilation.
A wide 2-inch layer of hook-and-loop tape allows the front diffusion panels to either be attached flush with the edge of the softbox for a wide lighter spread or to be recessed for use with optional grids.
“In combination with the Skylux, these softboxes provide the softness and shadow fall-off needed for commercial automotive and marine photography.”

“I remove the front diffusion material to create a light source that is both soft and compellingly crisp. The quality of Westcott's softboxes is absolutely wonderful!”

“Westcott softboxes are built to take it. A great deal of my shooting is done on location. This means setup, breakdown and storage time and time again. My work level can wear out cheaply made gear in a hurry. Westcott softboxes hold up to the rigors and demands of corporate shooting. I trust Westcott to protect my reputation as a reliable shooter. ”

“The tremendous difference I see when using Westcott's soft boxes and modifiers is the quality of light. Absolutely beautiful color balancing, and diffusion. With a construction that is durable and dependable in the studio, or at all types of tricky locations, Westcott is the clear professional choice.”
