The Spiderlite TD6 steadily produces up to 900 watts of illumination. With sockets placed evenly across the all-metal light head, light spreads evenly for maximized output.
The Spiderlite TD6 is designed with the ability to take both fluorescent and tungsten-halogen bulbs. So, you can choose instantly between using warm or cool light temperatures without needing to exchange light heads.
Each Spiderlite head features built-in rod receptacles, allowing for softbox modification and mounting without the need of additional mounting brackets or speedrings. A built-in umbrella receptacle is included as well for quick umbrella modifying.
Spiderlite TD6’s output can be adjusted with separate controls located on the rear of the light head. Each switch controls the level of brightness by powering on or off a set of 2 bulbs.
The light head is constructed with reflective metal, optimizing output and durability for years of use in your studio.
A protruding handle located on the rear of the Spiderlite gives you the ability to quickly rotate your light and the attached modifier a full 180-degrees with ease. Additionally, the Spiderlite head features an affixed tilter bracket for even more precise placement.
The Spiderlite TD6 is designed to stay cool and resist heat, ensuring safe use even when shooting your most precious subjects. Pair with our professional softboxes, which feature double-layer heat resistant fabrics for ultimate in beautiful lighting and assured safety.
“This is my preferred choice if I am shooting both photography and video. Combined with the medium shallow softbox by Westcott, this light can basically do it all.”

“Working with Spiderlite TD6s can really spoil you. What you're seeing, is what you're gonna get, and it makes getting the look you want nearly effortless. It's like I told a photographer buddy of mine - lighting your subject with the TD6s is so easy, it's like cheating.”
Scott Kelby, Top Pro Photographer
“If I was left with just one choice of lighting, this would be it. The depth of light I can create with just two TD6's is unmatchable. I can use it for creating a classic portrait style of lighting, or a completely edgier fashion or commercial style. This is my leading lighting setup when creating soft high key beauty lighting.”
Hernan Rodriguez, Top Pro Elite Photographer
“I love the TD6 with a large softbox to emulate window light. The same light with a strip box allows for beautiful drama that my windows can't provide.”
Jen Rozenbaum, Top Pro Elite Photographer
“The TD6 has become my go-to light for all of my continuous lighting needs. When working with babies, I love the soft natural look. I also love that I can combine the 5500 kelvin bulbs with natural daylight. This gives me more creative options in difficult lighting situations.”
Sandy Puc, Top Pro Photographer
“I own a combination of Spiderlite heads with softboxes and grids in every size available. They have become a basic staple in my lighting package and, dare I say, my on-set security blanket. Not only do I still use them to shine that beautiful, soft light on an actress close-up, but I now use them in every aspect of my lighting. My electrical crews have warmly received the Spiderlite across the U.S. and Canada, The crews know the Westcott name from still photography and are pleasantly surprised by their cabailities and quickly embrace their benefits in the motion picture realm.”
Michael Price, Director of Photography
